Hilo Cruise Ship Day Tours
For guests arriving on cruise ships to the Port of Hilo. Make the most of your day in East Hawai’i with us!
We offer two fantastic ways to explore all that Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park and the Hilo area have to offer, perfect for our guests arriving on cruise ships: Cruise Ship Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park – Hilo Tours, and Private Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park Tours.
Our tour times coincide with your ship’s schedule. We’ll pick you up and drop you off, directly at the Port of Hilo in our roomy, air-conditioned 15 passenger vans. We always return our guests to the port in plenty of time for their scheduled departures, so you don’t need to worry.
Our Cruise Ship Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park – Hilo Tours showcase highlights of Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, and offers a taste of the Hilo area in a small group of 12 or less. We’ll visit all the major attractions, along with some amazing undiscovered gems. From steaming craters, to rainforests, to breathtaking waterfalls, this tour really has it all!
We’ll visit the Jaggar Museum and see Kilauea’s massive summit caldera. We’ll have a view of Halema’uma’u Crater, with its fuming, active lava lake, from across the caldera .We’ll see the Steam Vents, Nahuku Lava Tube, Kilauea Iki Overlook, Devastation Trail, and more! Upon our return to Hilo, if time allows, we’ll visit Rainbow Falls or ‘Akaka Falls and enjoy views of Hilo’s scenic bay front.
Nature is our focus. Instead of shopping, or visiting other tourist-oriented venues, our itineraries are designed to let you explore, and learn about the island’s unique geology and living ecosystems.
Most of our time will be spent outdoors, and we’ll take several walks of up to a mile and a half, on unpaved trails. (Walking distances and locations may vary due to weather and other factors.)
A delicious picnic lunch is included on all of our Hilo Cruise Ship Day Tours. You can choose your meal from a menu filled with locally grown and organic selections. We are happy to accommodate special diets (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, etc.) with advance notice.
We’ll also supply you with lightweight backpacks, full rain suits, seating pads, drinking water, delicious snacks and high quality binoculars for your use.
Private Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park Tours are also available from the Port of Hilo, so you can spend your day in East Hawai’i exactly as you like. These are ideal for avid hikers, families and those with mobility issues. For Private Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park Tours click HERE.
